About Me

Onyx - Certified Sisterlocks™ - Consultant / Brand Ambassador / R-Certified
I'm a registered and trained certified Sisterlocks™ Consultant and Brand Ambassador based in South London. As a science graduate, I've always been a strong believer in natural beauty and working with what nature has given us.

I completed my first Sisterlocks™ training in October 2011 and have been helping people with their loc journeys for many years now. My approach has always centered around natural hair care because I understand firsthand the challenges that come with managing textured hair.

My Hair Journey

Growing up, I had a very sensitive scalp, and from a young age, I absolutely dreaded the feeling of a comb touching my scalp. Luckily my mother, notice this and gave me locs as a gentler alternative to traditional hair care methods.

As a teenager, I tried the popular "wet look" style – though mine was always dry because I kept missing the activator gel! From there, I experimented with braids and kinky twists, but over time, even those became too intensive for my lifestyle. I eventually went back to traditional locs, but due to using different methods of locking techniques and my getting longer I found myself wanting something more manageable and flexible.

The turning point came when I made the decision to cut my locs and have Sisterlocks™ installed instead. This change was transformative – Sisterlocks™ proved to be much more manageable and versatile than anything I'd tried before.

From my personal experience with different hair care methods, this gives me a unique perspective on natural hair care. I understand both the technical aspects of the Sisterlocks™ method and the emotional journey that comes with finding the right approach for your hair.

I believe your hair doesn't need to be "fixed" – it just needs to be understood and cared for properly. That's what I'm here to help you with.
